With a degree in business administration from St. Peter’s University, Brian got into the healthcare field to serve people. “Whether it’s our staff or clientele, I want to do right by others,” he says. “My job is extremely rewarding because we’re helping people every day. When we get fantastic feedback about our employees, I know we’re making a difference.” Brian previously served as executive director at several branches of Aveanna Healthcare. A New Jersey native, he spends his time outside of the office hiking, watching movies, rooting for the Yankees and playing with his son Austin.
Kelly Boland, LSW
Community Liaison/Social Worker
Kelly received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Millersville University and a master’s of social work from Widener University before serving as a hospital-based social worker at Taylor and Kindred hospitals. At Dunwoody at Home, she takes pride in helping families navigate the home healthcare system. “It is rewarding to provide high-quality care that allows seniors to age in place,” she says. Kelly has a passion for fitness and not only works out most days at 6 a.m., but also teaches an all-women’s bootcamp class on the remaining days at 5 a.m. She resides in Media, PA with her husband, Rich, and French bulldog, Tank.
After receiving her undergraduate degree from University of Pennsylvania, Janet spent six years as scheduling manager at a private-pay home care agency in Chester County and two years as an on-call manager at Bayada Home Health in Media, PA. She believes that warm, engaged customer relations are essential to exceptional in home services. “With care and a little imagination, we can help fragile clients maintain their dignity while minimizing their loneliness,” she says. A native of Newtown Square where her family has lived since the 1940s, she can still remember Velde’s Market and the trolley tracks that once crossed Route 252.
Heather Haines, RN
Heather graduated from Neumann University in Aston, PA with a bachelor’s degree in nursing because she loves working with people. “This career is perfect for me because I love being an advocate for those in need.” When she’s not on the job, Heather can usually be found on the volleyball court, which she has played or coached since high school. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Rochelle Dean, RN
Raised by her great grandmother who instilled a love and respect for all people, Rochelle became a registered nurse to turn that ethos into a career. “Senior citizens hold a great place in my heart,” she says. “I started as a certified nurse assistant to care for those who have cared for others for their whole lives.” Rochelle got her associates degree in nursing from Delaware County Community College and worked as a pediatric nurse at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Nemours Pediatric Hospital before moving into home care with a special emphasis on wound care. When she’s not helping clients, the deceptively young-looking mother of a now-grown daughter can be found dancing.
Michelle Carroll, RN
Michelle came to nursing as a second career after witnessing her beloved then 72-year-old grandmother undergo treatment for ovarian cancer. “I was extremely close with her and meeting her wonderful nurses inspired me to go back to school,” she says. Before arriving at Dunwoody at Home, Michelle got her associate degree from Delaware County Community College and worked at several area long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. She especially enjoys getting to know patients and having a positive impact on the community. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising and reading.
A graduate of La Salle University with a degree in communication, Jennifer previously worked as a branch manager for a life insurance medical examination company for eight years. Jennifer’s aim is to ensure that Dunwoody at Home meets customers’ needs with minimal disruption to their lifestyle. “By going above and beyond to make sure clients are matched with compatible companions, we guarantee a harmonious relationship and create an outcome that satisfies all parties involved.”
